Delete Your Account

EchoDate (developer: EchoDate) — how to delete your account and what data is removed.

You can permanently delete your EchoDate account and its associated data at any time. There are two ways to do this.

Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (fastest)

If you can no longer access the app, email us from the address linked to your account:

Use the subject line "Delete My Account". We verify ownership and complete deletion within 30 days.

When you delete your account, we permanently remove:

Your profile (name, date of birth, gender, country, languages, interests, bio, height)
All profile and uploaded photos, and any voice intro
Your email address and authentication credentials
Your matches, connections, likes, and swipe history
All chat messages and conversations
Your location data and discovery preferences
Activity history and in-app purchases/cosmetics records

We may retain a limited amount of data only where required by law or for legitimate business purposes:

Transaction/billing records required for tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention purposes are retained for up to 7 years as required by law. These are managed by the app stores (Apple App Store / Google Play), not EchoDate.
Safety and abuse records (e.g. records related to reports or bans) may be retained where necessary to protect our community and enforce our Terms.

All other personal data is deleted and is not recoverable.
